Miles To Go is a J-40 Rod Johnstone design of 1983 and hull n? 1 was launched in 1984.She was built in 1988 by Tillotson-Pearson (TPI) in Warren – Rhode Island USA.
The J-40 hull and deck is a GRP balsa cored construction with shallow draft keel (5,4 feet).
The first owner, Mr. Barnum brought MILES TO GO to Europe in 1996 when he was working as a solicitor in Brussels.
In 2009 MILES TO GO was acquired by her current new owner. MILES TO GO participated for the first time in a Tall Ships Event in summer 2010 for The Tall Ships Races 2010, winning the 2nd place in Class D. She also took 1st place in The Tall Ships Races 2011 Class D in the race from Waterford, Ireland, to Greenock, Scotland. Milestook the 1st place in class D in the 2012 TSR from Saint Malo to Lisbon.
