The Tall Ships Races are an ideal opportunity to board on one of the largest sailing ships (Tall Ships) in the world and explore Europe.
You are offered the opportunity to be a member of the team on those Tall Ships during an exciting race. You don't need any sailing experience. You need to be 15 years or older and most vessels are offering a reduced rate if you are 25 year old or younger.
It is possible to become a Bursary. For more info you must registre and ask for more info. These voyages offer Bursary opportunities.
Please note that you must be aged 12-25 to apply for a Bursary and priority will be given to those who are least able to afford a trip.

Friends from over the whole world
The Tall Ships Races are a race of course and the team is eager to finish first. But this event is much more than just a race. Youth and adults with different nationalities, social and cultural backgrounds are gathering together for the journey of their lifetime. If you participate in those races guaranteed you will make friend from all over the world.
Big party
The Tall Ships Races is the biggest international race for sail training vessels in the world. In every host port thousands of spectators will welcome you. They not only enjoy those beautiful Tall Ships, but also the festivities ashore. There is fireworks, concerts, parties, sports, delicious food and of course the crew parade - going crazy together with your teammates is the message! During the crew party you will party together with all other crew and often the party ends on one of the vessels.
- The Tall Ships Races legs are either races or cruise in company. You could either opt for competitive sailing or cruising in beautiful coastal areas and visiting idyllic ports.
- Between those legs all participating vessels are welcomed with numerous festivities and activities in one of the host ports.
- If you have ample time and no budgetary constraints you could participate in more than one leg in any ship of your choice.
- Every year a number of Belgium ships are participating!
